The Microsoft Practice at Business & Decision (B&D) is experiencing significant growth due to demand for B&D resources in the Microsoft Partner Network and our customer base. In addition to functional and technical consultants B&D is actively looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics AX Project Manager. We are currently looking for a Microsoft Dynamics AX Senior Project Manager with solid experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX. This position requires experience in successfully leading full lifecycle Microsoft Dynamics AX implementations and the ability to manage projects.

What we need:
The ideal candidate can demonstrate a track record of delivering complex Tier 1 ERP (Dynamics AX) projects. You will have demonstrated your Dynamics AX Project Management skills within the Manufacturing/Distribution sector, preferably with any of the following Industry experience: Life Sciences, Retail, Manufacturing.

As a project manager it is expected you to have excellent knowledge of the Production, T&L and Finance modules in the latest Dynamics AX versions (DAX2009, DAX2012).

The project manager will ensure the technical and application consulting resources are successfully executing on established project plans.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Strong customer interface skills.
  • Successful multitasking experience – Could potentially work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Successfully planning and managing the teams
  • Controlling the schedule and budget for each project

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in an ERP implementation environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Excellent organizational, decision making, human relations and communications skills.
  • PMI Certifications a plus
  • Certified in Microsoft Sure Step Implementation Methodology is a plus
  • Expect an 80% travel requirement
  • Previous experience implementing and managing Microsoft Dynamics AX projects is a requirement for this role and ONLY candidates with a Microsoft Dynamics AX background will be contacted for interviews

The demand for B&D resources is growing rapidly both in partner channel and our customer base. We are looking for enthusiastic, bright, talented people who have solid experience in implementing ERP, Supply Chain and CRM software. We are currently looking for a Microsoft Dynamics AX Functional Trade & Logistics/Production Consultants. These are full time positions working for Business & Decision, however we will consider subcontracting consultants as well. Candidates can reside anywhere in the US as these roles require travel to client sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Conducting Microsoft Education classes for Trade & Logistics and Production
  • Defining AX enhancement requirements for reports and business processes/forms etc. that a developer can use for AX enhancements
  • Testing enhancements for customer acceptance and accuracy
  • Documenting *AS IS* and *TO BE* best business processes using Microsoft Visio and AX Task Recorder
  • Communicating issues and project tasks with appropriate personnel
  • Providing weekly detailed time sheets
  • Actively work with all involved to mitigate risks by maintaining a project plan

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience implementing ERP software
  • Minimum of 2 years Microsoft Dynamics AX (preferably AX2009) implementation experience
  • Must have strong Logistics or Manufacturing background
  • Must have solid reputation and references with previous clients, contacts, partners, etc.
  • Must be able to manage time, prioritize and communicate commitments
  • Must have strong client and internal communication skills with experience working in highly collaborative teams
  • Must be able to produce specific examples of his or her work product (e.g. technical requirements, design, output, test plans, etc.)
  • Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US
  • Candidate can live anywhere in the US
  • Must be open to 100% US & Canada travel

Desired Skills:

  • Preferred functional expertise
  • Preferred Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 certifications in Trade & Logistics and/or Production
